the ...great reflections of the sky in the water :)

the only surface i have had any luck with with using watercolours and cps together is actually thick paper covered in gesso and then lightly sanded. takes a little longer to dry and the watercolour can pool if you don't have the paper flat but it works well. the texture from the sanded gesso works well with cp.Jennifer Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06528908250338974537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6391600460847704245.post-57296089465318221992013-01-29T12:55:55.753-05:002013-01-29T12:55:55.753-05:00Thanks Debbie, Jennifer and Sherry!

I keep thinking a different paper or something but have yet to find a method I like. I have, however, seen other artist use this method with beautiful results.Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08559534274200050929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6391600460847704245.post-79532546283652868742013-01-29T06:04:57.897-05:002013-01-29T06:04:57.897-05:00I feel as if I am on a boat looking far out to sea...I feel as if I am on a boat looking far out to sea. This colored pencil landscape is gorgeous. Do you ever use watercolor as an underpainting for your colored pencil. I have been playing around doing this but not sure I am satisfied with the results. Thanks for sharing. Debbie Nolanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11168646638438558551noreply@blogger.com
