It was begun with Neocolor II crayons, washed with water, then Derwent's Coloursofts colored pencil over top. I am still working on my assignments for the last week of watercolor pencil class and then there's lots of new stuff I want to try. So I needed to finish up these loose ends. Besides, I though you all might need a break from all my efforts with watercolor pencil! I put this piece, along with three other recent colored pencil works, in my
Etsy store and on my
sales blog.

ReplyDeleteAnn, this is so breathtaking! Looking at it makes me feel like as if I am actually there. :) And it really feels like the horizon is just so far away, and I am constantly waiting for the soundtrack ^^

ReplyDeletetrying to keep up with a class and keep going with the regular stuff is a lot of work. I think that is why I don't do a lot of that anymore.
ReplyDeleteThis is really lovely. I feel like I could look at it forever, and be drawn out into the surf and to the horizon. Was this gorgeous sunset something you witnessed somewhere? The colors are wonderful.
