Brandygraphite on Strathmore 500 Bristol
4.5 x 6.5 inches
©Ann Thompson Nemcosky This is what I worked on yesterday. Brandy was my aunt's little companion. Sadly, Brandy is no longer with us. But my aunt had Brandy for a very long time and I know she was very devoted to her little companion. I hope I have captured Brandy well enough with my drawing. I will be sending her off to my aunt soon as a surprise. And no, I'm not at all worried about her seeing the drawing here first as I am sure my aunt has no use for computers or the internet.
Very cute ! You did well with "fur texture". You just feel like cuddling it !
ReplyDeleteImpressive work!
ReplyDeleteYour aunt will surely be delighted
with your gift.
Cheers, Doug
Amazing work Ann...your Aunt will love it!
ReplyDeleteThis is stunningly beautiful! I am sure not just your aunt will be happy after seeing(and getting) this, anyone who sees this would be absolutely delighted as well! :)
ReplyDeleteI've learned from long ago that giving away something you've drawn for that special someone is probably the best gift ever.
Another thing Ann, you truly are a master of graphite drawing!
Thanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteAlex, I was channeling your skills with graphite - could you tell? :-)
ooh very soft looking :D really great surprise to make
ReplyDeleteBrandy looks like she could walk right off the page into your aunt's lap. She will be thrilled at your work.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful portrait. I had to come see as I have a Brandy of my own who is literally the color of brandy. You did a wonderful job on this.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and heart felt. She will love it!
ReplyDeleteYour Aunt will treasure both this beautifully done portrait, and the love that created it. You captured the essence of Terrier in expression and coat. Wow.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute doggie... and your aunt will treasure this, it is a masterpiece.
ReplyDeleteAnn, this is such a sweet picture. I was reading our Pet Tales from The Denver Dumb Friends League, and it had photos of so many pets adopted and so many that are gone now. What beauty animals bring to our lives.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your encouraging comments!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely, she'll cherish it...
ReplyDeleteAww, how sad.... But that is so sweet of you to make a gift for your aunt! The dog looks like he/she was a friendly pet.
