Sketchbook Tuesday - Closure

One of my sketches from last week, done of our dogs as they often are, lounging nearby while I work. Just some lines scribbled on the page, trying to get the peaceful devotion in their shapes. Scribbled lines attempting some sense of closure in order to become shapes.
And here is my finished crochet bag! (sorry for the poor photo, we haven't had much light here lately)I am so pleased that I not only learned to change colors but also crochet in the round! Thanks Jennifer! All I need do now is sew in a lining, which I have all ready to go. And I want to fashion some sort of closure for the top. Maybe a button with a loop?

  1. Love the sketch and the curved writing ties both puppies together. Lovely work, Ann. I also adore that hobo style bag. You might also consider a zipper closure? Just a thought out loud. Pay no attention to that (wo)man behind the curtain...

  4. Love the sketch of the dogs :)
The bag is beautiful too. Totally reminds me of the days my mom would spend hours and hours crochet... and I would fall asleep on her lap tired from playing with my toys... I was 3-5 years old

  11. Thanks everyone!

Alex, that is so sweet, what a lovely memory. These days I mostly crochet while Kiddo does her lessons. I wonder what kind of memory that will form for her?

  12. Your bag turned out great! You could do a loop or even a flap to go over a large button.
