Here is #38 in my 100 painting project. A glorious day at the beach at Edisto Island, SC, from when we were there this past spring. I was stuck trying to think up a title for this one. Kiddo suggested "Beach Day". Perfect.
This is breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteStunningly realistic! Totally make me want to take a long stroll along the beach ^^
ReplyDeleteWow - you did a spectacular job with all the waves. The colors are just beautiful! nancy
ReplyDelete...so beautiful. I can totally feel the water. Reminds me of our vacation...love it!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Peachtree.. It is definitely breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteAs perfect as the title Ann! I loved the crashing waves and the way you chose to do the sky devoid of clouds, the attention is much on just the lovely waves.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice of colours for the sea, this is one of my favourites.
ReplyDeleteI just want to wade...Beautiful piece, Ann.
ReplyDeleteI will also going to agree to Peachtreeart. That is a painting that will definitely going to take your breath out. I love the way it is painted.
ReplyDeletelovely piece :D love the energy in the waves
ReplyDeleteI know I already commented on this piece on flickr, but I just had to come see it again. The whole thing is so successful, but that one wave, breaking on the beach, is just so well done. It is stunning, the detail and the reflected colors. This is now my favorite of all your paintings. I believe you have 'conquered' water.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love those yummy, rich colors!
ReplyDeleteOooo, and it feels cool! So refreshing! This is beautiful, Ann!
ReplyDeleteAnd in my mind, I'm right there with you guys! I can hear the waves crashing.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone:-)
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful - those waves are so real!
