While I am working on my latest colored pencil piece, I thought I would go ahead and post another painting for you. This is #55 of my 100 painting project. It is a scene from a nearby walking trail, that follows a river that runs through town. It still doesn't seem right to me, calling these mountain streams "rivers", but they are. Rivers at their start. I guess I'll just never get used to that. They all look like creeks to me.
This is a place I'd love to be! So restful!
ReplyDeleteYou make such beautiful things.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Ann! I wish I were sitting there right now; it looks so peaceful!
ReplyDeleteLovely! =) I wanna take a name with that view before I shut my eyes
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done, Ann. On my blog, I thought the thumbnail was a photograph! What a masterful job on the reflection in the 'river' too! I too am often a bit startled when a creek or stream is called a river.
ReplyDeleteWould this be a good place for paddling and fishing? Great painting!
ReplyDeleteIt's just lovely. I love the reflections on the water, and the composition is beautiful! nancy
ReplyDeleteCathy, most of the time it would be a bit shallow for paddling, although we do occasionally see folks fishing here. And the dogs love splashing around in the water too.
ReplyDeleteThanks all for your kind comments!
Another stunning painting! You always impress me, always.
ReplyDeleteLovely - it does just what it says on the box!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOVE LOVE this Ann!!! It's just wonderful...the blackness of the tree trunks, the water, the grasses, the greenery. It's all just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAll I need to do now is find a way to enter your painting, sit down at the base of the tree with my sketchbook and gaze upon nature's beauty. Wonderful scene, Ann.
