Sketchbook Tuesday - Falling leaves

 
And falling they are. It is starting to get really pretty here with the Autumn colors of the leaves. These were leaves that blew onto our deck.
This was a leaf that I found in a parking lot and brought home to sketch. I know, I'm just a little weird that way. But with the colors of the trees changing daily, how can I resist?

    WOW, these are beautiful, Ann!!! I love the rich, vibrant colors! And hey, I am picking stuff off the streets constantly to bring home and sketch . . . treasures!

    Beautiful paintings Ann! You're not weird at all...I do the same thing, pick up beautiful leaves to bringhometo sketch. I love the quotes here also! Thank you for both the art of image and word!

    Very pretty leaves! Drawing the leaves of the year is about the best way to remember this season.

    gosh, takes me back! When I began painting xxxxxxx years ago, my then tutor started me off with autumn leaves. She was very creative; put them into a glass jar of water, upside down, and I had to paint them, in watercolours. !!! Your leaves are wonderful colours.

    Beautiful paintings! Spring is bursting open here in th Southern Hemisphere with sensational colours. I am contemplating painting what I see.

    Beautiful! Unbelievable how striking a simple leave can be! Here in Beijing we don't have Autumn colors yet, but when we do, I am sure to do the same :-)

    Gorgeous paintings! Undoubtedly, this is my favorite season of the year. Despite me only draw in black and white most the times, I actually do love colors, and Fall to me is the most romantic and colorful season. =)

    Thanks everyone! I'm glad I'm not the only one picking up stuff off the street to draw :-) I like fall too. It just always passes a little too quickly for me. Gotta catch it while we can!
