After finishing my last colored pencil piece, I was more than ready to do something a little different. I had been thinking about trees and snow. This is just the start of a new drawing in graphite, a snowy field. This field is actually right in my neighborhood and looked much like this yesterday with our bitterly cold, blowing snow day. It will be 6 x 8 inches when finished.
The perfect subject for graphite, Ann! I am lovin' that sky!!!
ReplyDeletevery winter cold looking :D
ReplyDeleteThat looks so cold.
ReplyDeleteGreat Ann, wish we had snow. Lovely clementines too. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful drawing, Ann! I love graphite pieces and this is coming along so perfectly. So far this winter, we've had very little snow. Not at all like what was predicted for this area. I've been told that the Farmer's Almanac predicted a mild winter, unlike all the weather bugs out there.
ReplyDeleteLove this Ann! Makes me long for thehushed quietness of snow. We haven't gotten gotten any downhere off the mountain. :(
ReplyDeleteYou've certainly captured the cold atmosphere, great work!
ReplyDeleteBrrr.... looking very cold, beautiful job!

ReplyDeleteIt's lovely already... look forward to seeing the finished pieces (and maybe some WIP's along the way?)
