It has really been an early spring this year, here in our mountains. Just like our daffodils, our forsythia bloomed a month earlier than in recent years. Not that I'm complaining. Oh no. And speaking of daffodils, if you have been thinking of participating in my daffodil challenge but haven't let me know yet, please go to
this post and leave a comment with a link to your artwork by Friday. Saturday, the 31st, I'll do a post highlighting all of the daffodil art.
Thanks for commenting on my blog, Ann! Don't you just love forsythia's? You have done their yellow cheerfulness justice in this painting!
ReplyDeleteWonderful explosion of color! Lovely and joyful - like the spring season!
ReplyDeleteLovely Ann, we had a forsythia in our garden when I was small. If I can find a daffodil in HK I'll join in !
ReplyDeleteReally nice outdoor watercolor sketch!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a soft and pretty drawing!
ReplyDeleteWhat glorious splashes of spring! I'd attempt the daffodils but I can't even do what I need to do around here these days. I'm in a major slump.
ReplyDeleteHoly-Schmoly that's what you call a SKETCH? I can only imagine what you call a painting! I like the color and the subtle abstraction, with a great composition as well.

How lovely - that brilliant splash of colour!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! Michael, it's nice to "see" you again :-)
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful watercolor sketch! You didn't even use pencil, did you?! Amazing, I would have been lost trying to do that!
