This is familiar scenery when driving the Doc Watson highway into town. Especially so lately, with all the rain we have had this summer. Clouds building, rolling over the mountain ridges coming from the west, you can see the rain in the distance. No doubt, it will be here soon.
Very nice. It looks just like a storm is coming in!
ReplyDeleteAnn -beautiful scene and other than for the mountains - it is one I have seen a great deal too this summer. Thankful though for the rain because we had been so dry. Take care and have a great day.
ReplyDeletegreat landscape :D love the greens
ReplyDeleteI do so love that bit of brown at the tops of the trees. And the trees and mountains in the distance...Sigh...Wouldn't I love to be here! I love rain! I am reminded of the song "Smokey Mountain Rain." Love that song.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, this is breathtaking. The composition is so perfect and invites my eye to linger in the scene. The vitality of the colors and the richness you achieved are awesome. I love the way the sun is highlighting the edges of everything. It's just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Ann,
ReplyDeleteBoth Hobby Lobby and Michael's have plastic stencils. I needed something that would stand up to using wet mediums with them. Not sure how big the selection (can't remember). Hope that helps!
Sherry
love your clouds! yes we have seen plenty too. love,Diana
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteAnd Sherry, thanks for the tip about the plastic stencils. Kiddo was happy to know that and will be trying them out the next time we get to Michaels :-)
