Yesterday was the first day we had without rain since I don't know when. Which made for a beautiful day for our monthly Blue Ridge Sketchers sketch outing. We met at the
Moses Cone Manor on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I did this little watercolor sketch in my Moleskine watercolor sketchbook.
It was indeed a most gorgeous day. As usual you chose a view that could be called an interpretation of heaven. I wish I could do something with landscapes!
ReplyDeleteYour landscapes are so pretty. They have a softness and luminosity that just makes them glow! nancy
ReplyDeletevery pretty landscape :)the sky is lovely in it
ReplyDeletemore rain here :/
Beautiful! Love the sky and clouds especially! Makes me want to come and join you.
ReplyDeleteLovely use of colour Ann. Glad the weather was fine!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great outing - the view must have been incredible, judging from the drawing. You can really handle those watercolors! You can see the depth with your use of color and the wide expanse of sky is well done.
ReplyDeleteIt has been ages since I've driven the Parkway, probably ten years. The hills in your sketch are as I remember them. You are blessed to live amidst such beauty.
ReplyDeleteHello there Ann, thanks for your lovely comment to my blog! I was reading here about how much rain you have in your area. Well, I live in a place where almost never rains and we have so much sun that some water would be welcomed! Nature is an amazing thing, and you, with your accurate sensibility is able to paint it! Loved your sketches! Hugs from the sunny and hot Fortaleza-CearĂ¡-Brazil!
