More journaling

Lately I have been mostly working on sketches for Kate's Artist's Journal class, plus my other project that I am not ready to share just yet. So I thought I would share a couple of my journaling exercises. Both of these are done in my hand made sketchbook. The top is another view from the Christmas tree farm where we did find the 'perfect' tree.
And here is a little rant to go with a yummy brownie. Writing out my complaint helped me feel better. Making safe brownies for Kiddo made us all feel better. Now that I have that out of my system I can get back to my new works in progress.

  3. Wonderful journaling. Nice to hear stories about people's lives. Ann, I know this is none of my business but you might be interested that there are some dogs now being trained to assist people with peanut allergies.

You may already know this, but I just heard of it a couple of weeks ago and thought of it when I read your page on the brownie. Just thought I'd mention it!

I'll look at that link Ellen - I do appreciate you mentioning it. I have heard of that and have wondered. . .

  5. I am seeing so many gorgeous journal pages from Kate's class. It's making me wish I had taken that! These are wonderful! I especially like the landscape with it's shadows across the field.

  6. I'm drooling over your journals. Wonderful pages.

And, yes, some people just don't get it. Sigh.

  7. Glad you are enjoying your art class. It is always fun to try new things, experiment and discover a bit more about yourself. Well I know I do.

  10. All of your food sketches are making me hungry! Mmmmm, brownies - you've made this one so realistic!

Kudos to you for actually writing on your journal pages. I am sometimes reluctant to do so.

I have a nephew who is allergic to lots of things, and also know two little girls with EE (allergic to every single food except for a handful of items - they need to drink a special formula). And yet, they never complain either, they just accept that's the way they are. You're right, it's heartbreaking because you WANT them to have a normal life and be like the other kids.

  11. Ann,
Using IE and a PC, comments to your blog are really easy - I can select name/url, type in a word and off it goes.
