A little bit more

Untitled Work in Progress
colored pencil on Rising Museum board

Slowly, slowly, I am working on this drawing. I still need to resolve the surf on the right hand side and then, of course, there is the wet and then dry sand of the beach to address. Lately, I haven't been able to sit still for any great lengths of time in order to devote much attention to this piece. But when I do manage some quiet time at the drawing board, I am so glad that I did. Moving this drawing along, a little bit at a time.

It's so much fun and inspiring to watch your work in progress! It's coming along beautifully. nancy

This is a lovely piece, Ann. I am a very different sort of artist, very rapid usually, and it's so refreshing to see a deliberate approach. That's one nice thing about colored pencil: it will wait for you!

I hope you show us further stages of this piece, too.

Lovely, I really like the reflection of the light in the water, makes one miss the sounds and the breeze on the beach... Cant wait for summer to arrive now.

It looks beautiful already, Ann. I am having opposite problem. I am having hard time stirring myself to do anything these days. Super crushing fatigue to deal with.

This one has an incredible light, I find it fascinating. So alike the feeling I get when I manage to get up very early and go to the beach before the tourists... it's like this, so calm and incredibly luminous without hurting the eyes like later in the day. What I love in your drawings is that they really bring out the feelings as well as if I was outside in the real setting.
