The flowers and wild flowers have been especially beautiful in our Southern mountains this year. So here is yet another watercolor sketch of flowers that were gathered from our yard. (And yes, I realize it is dated 28 August. I didn't notice that I had written the wrong date until I posted it here. It's corrected now with August crossed out and replaced with July. At least I had the day right. I think...)
And the day came
when the risk to remain tight in a bud
was more painful
than the risk it took to blossom.

So fresh and joyful, Ann. Gearing up for school to start?
Good art does that to the brain and this is lovely.
A joyous sketch, love the blue bits that you placed in the flowers!
