sketchbook :: sunny yellow

This past Monday the weather was cold. It was extremely windy, sounding like freight trains roaring by outside. And it was snowing. Sideways. However inside there is a pot of sunny yellow tulips on my table.
Maybe it's because of winter, or rather in reaction to it, but I seem to be using yellow quite often in my sketches.
Here there were clouds coming over the hill across the way, lit up with yellow light from the day's fading sunlight. I chose not to include the winter trees in the foreground of this scene and just focus on the hill and sky.These were all sketched with watercolor only in my Strathmore Mixed Media sketchbook.

Glad you are finding your sunshine during the drabs of winter, Ann. Your pieces are truly lovely; the pear has truly caught my attention for some reason.
