Sketchbook Tuesday - Sunshine

In a vase, on our kitchen table anyway. Because I am not going to talk about the snow, ice, freezing rain, sleet, and snow, anymore. The only winter weather we haven't had so far is high winds. But now BLIZZARD conditions are in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow with 55 mph winds gusting to 70 miles an hour. So good. We can check that one off our winter weather events too.

But back to the sunshine. Kiddo's science lessons have been all about plants. Last week it was learning the parts of a flower. The Professor picked up some cheerful yellow gladiolus so she could examine the flower parts with a magnifying glass. With out winter palette of white and gray, it is so nice to have a bit of sunshine blossoms gracing our table.

We have managed to side step most of the snow here in NH, at least until tomorrow.

What a lovely sketch - a reminder that spring is on the way. Just a sprinkling of snow here today -I think we have just about seen the last of it.

These are so beautiful to see especially since this winter is being so long and annoying. I love your composition and the colors are just so warm and shining. A real feel good piece. BTW, my son is almost done. If you need a microscope, I have one. :)

OK, I won't complain that the ground was a bit soft as I played a round of golf on Monday here in northern California. Hope that the flowers helped to brighten your mood.

Our sun finally came out yesterday and some blooms on our tulip tree opened. I sat outside, even though a bit chilly still, put my face up to the sun and soaked it all in. It was the best feeling! Possible sleet tonight, but I think yesterday will pull me through. Wonderful painting. And nice of the professor to bring home a bit of sunshine!

Aww, what a nice story.... and I agree, not one more word about winter, Winter does not deserve our attention. Although, we have had the high winds that you did not.

Beautiful sketch, Ann, and continue to think Spring thoughts!
