Sketchbook Tuesday - Summer Blooms

Some flowers from our garden. A cosmos, purple cone flowers and black-eyed susans, all in full bloom now. It has been so warm, wet, and steamy here that all the vegetation looks very lush and wild. I have heard that these Southern Appalachian mountains are a temperate rainforest. Well, this summer is certainly proving that to be true.

My all time favourite summer time flowers are purple cone flowers, black eyed susans and daisies. Cosmos is up there too! The flower beds I created in my rear yard are filled with my favs and I have managed to squeeze them into the flower beds I inherited. And oh don't they self seed and spread so beautifully! :-) Such a lovely sketch for a Tuesday in late July. Thanks for sharing it with us.
