Sketchbook Tuesday - Autumn

It was such a gorgeous weekend here that we played tourists and joined the "leaf-lookers" for a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The colors were amazing, almost impossible to capture with a camera or sketch. But we tried anyway. I did this sketch from a photo once home.

Goodness, Ann! Just another beautiful sketchbook spread. These books should be worth a fortune for their beauty!

Your drawing makes me want to be a "leaf looker" in your part of the world.

lovely. I like the framing, its something I've been meaning to try. It just brings the whole picture together.

The weather was gorgeous here too and we did our own leaf looking drives over the weekend. Lovely sketch, the fall colours are stunning and I really like the washes of colour you used in the foreground. Here's hoping the leaves will hang on for a wee while yet!

Love how you went outside the lines, and the colours of the trees are brilliant (beautiful view), fall is my favourite time of the year.
