I am still enjoying watercolor painting, almost to the exclusion of anything else. But I'm okay with that. As winter is sliding into spring here in our mountains, I was inspired to paint a springtime scene from the Low Country marshes.

Hello Ann,
Beautiful watercolour.
I'm just about to try and get started with watercolour a little. Is does that cp after 140lb Kilimanjaro stand for cold press? Really not sure what paper I should be going for. Even if I just stick to fountain pen with water, I still need to get some watercolour paper.

Thanks Sue!

Stew, yes, cp does stand for cold press, which is watercolor paper with a textured surface. Some watercolor papers have more texture than others. And then there is hot press, which is smooth. You might like that better for pen and ink. Either way, I would suggest you go to an art supply store and look at the watercolor papers they have, and try out a few. Sometimes they even sell sample packs with a variety for you to try. Have fun! And thanks for your kind comment!

Beautiful light in this, Ann. Love the touches of green to pull the eye far into the background.
