Along the Way

Along the Way

Driving out to Edisto Island on our recent trip to the beach, I snapped many photos from inside the van as we sped along the two-lane highway. Blurry and compositionally flawed, they work wonderfully as starting points, jumping off places, for watercolor paintings. I am taking them as they come, in order, finding that something within, as inspiration. The view above is of the marshes as you approach the island, before the big bridge.

Another lovely painting, and I'm always so impressed with the loveliness of the skies that you manage to render. Beautiful colors throughout! nancy
