Sketchbook Tuesday :: meeting Deborah

This past Saturday I had the wonderful opportunity to meet fellow artist and blogger, Deborah Lowe, of Making a Splash. We met at Cheap Joe's, looked at the art and talked art supplies, of course. Her energy, and love of color and line must have rubbed off a little as I found myself buying a set of Inktense pencils before leaving Cheap Joe's. Once home I put them to use with a pen and ink drawing of a few flowers from our yard.
It was such a treat meeting Deborah! And naturally, the paparazzi was on hand to record such a momentous event!

Good for you buying the Inktense! You gotta love 'em - and black eyed susans in a cobalt bottle --- ooooh does it get much better!?

Yeah, I think I'm going to have some fun with those Inktense pencils. Jennifer Edwards, we actually talked about the three of us getting together and going sketching :-)

Very lovely flowers!!!!. It's great that you and Deborah were able to meet. EDM helps to make the world a little friendlier place, doesn't it?

the flowers are lovely, I like the simple and lose style of the lines. Very summery feeling to it.
It must have been a treat to meet up, you two look like you had a great time.

A lot of us own Intense pencils, few can immediately create such a lovely picture! It was fun to hear about your EDM in person connection.
