Sketchbook Tuesday :: sunflower

I picked up a bunch of sunflowers at our market last Saturday in celebration of returning home after a brief trip away. The trip was good but there is nothing quite the same as being in your own place.

And this week we are beginning a new school year here which is also cause for celebration. New beginnings, new routines, a new season is calling.

Sunflowers make me happy! Love your sketch.

My kids are home for another two weeks yet...but I can feel the urge to get back into my quiet studio routine...with no interruptions!!!!! I love how you said at the end of your post....

A NEW SEASON IS CALLING...

I am so ready for it.

Beautiful and so vibrant! Hope everything goes well for the new term? We start back in three weeks, new job and new horizons looking forward to it.

Love your joy in life, Ann. It shows through in your beautiful work and happy sunflower. Me? I just look forward to every season (except summer) and staying up with artist friends and managing a few small pieces here and there myself.

Ann - it must be the season for sunflowers. I have been painting and sketching them as well. Your sketch is so cheerful - makes me smile. Have a great week-end.
