early winter revisited

Early Winter Light
watercolor on cold pressed paper
5.5 x 7.5 inches
©Ann Thompson Nemcosky

This was painted from a scene that I captured with my camera phone last November, when the late afternoon sun was low in the sky making those wonderfully long shadows that creep up and down the hillsides. It is a view along a route I often travel when coming and going to town. A little further down is a stretch of tree-lined road, that when the afternoon sun is low, creates a strobe light effect in your eyes as you drive along.
