This image is from one of our recent hikes over at the Moses Cone Mansion off the Blue Ridge Parkway. An extensive network of old carriage trails provide excellent hiking paths and many wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. This is one of our favorite destinations on the Parkway.

Beautiful! I haven't been on the Parkway in several years. Have you ever been to Mabry's Mill?

Beautiful.... reminds me that it's been too long since I left my home in coastal area NC to head for a vacation in the mountains! (plus, there's all that yummy fudge, honey and crisp mountain apples to be had!)

Thank you everyone! Yes, it can be very pretty here, when the weather is good. When we have bad weather it can be brutal :)
Deb, I have been to Mabry Mill, it's pretty up that way too.
