Time floats

Or maybe it's just me, floating through time. This is for Everyday Matters challenge #192, draw something that floats. My daughter's rubber ducky drawn in graphite in my small hand.book journal. Even though she is now too old for bath toys, we still have this hanging around. I found it in our laundry room. Somewhere along the line kiddo outgrew bath toys and they migrated to other parts of the house. I don't even know when that happened. While I was looking the other way she grew from toddler to girl. In a few days she will turn 10. Ten! Ten years gone by just like that. I wouldn't trade them for the world.

The really scary thing is next time you look she'll be all grown up! It's shocking to me that my baby girl is turning 34 this November! So draw all her stuff now and her too. Your duck came out wonderful. See what else you can draw of your daughters and give them to her as a book later. It'd be a treasure.

This rubber ducky looks perfect! Works well with the feelings you express, with the black and white colors instead of yellow! A nice memory - and yes, they grow up so fast!

Lovely sensual work here...I have a ten year old too and if that wasn't scary enough I feel the exact same emotions about my 17 year old!

Great job on the duckie. I have a twelve year old, and I feel your pain. They grow up way too fast. BTW, your calendars are a Great idea!
