I'm still enjoying the summer sun, if only in my imagination. This is a scene from a park near our home. It's not much of a park, really, just a track with a soccer field in the center. One side of the track runs along the north fork of the New River. Rarely is anyone else there. So we often take the dogs to walk around the track a few times while Kiddo rides her scooter. I enjoy the quiet, unassuming beauty of the place.

You are doing such an amazing job on your 100 paintings project. Good for you!
This is a wonderful painting, Ann. I really like it very much. You have captured the esprit of summer.
Best regards,
Carolina
It's a lovely painting! And how nice to drop in on summer in the middle of gray, cold, and wet winter! Thank you for that!
another gorgeous painting :D the sky looks so open
what a beautiful scenery! The sky is so lovely, and the tree is just amazing! Love the shadows it cast over the field... I am feeling so peaceful just by looking at it :)
Oooh, I like big shade trees and huge summer shadows! Keep doing more of these! I might be interested in a shady grove.
So does the water mixing paints dry faster than the regular oils?
Beautiful painting with warm colours.
Makes you feel like strolling outside ... for a change !
I so love the peaceful spots, and this conveys that - well done.
This could so be a spot around where I live. There is a definite simple beauty. The distant tree line is perfect and those skies! So lovely! Thank you too for your comment, Ann. You've opened my eyes a bit more (I'm such a novice!). No worries on my glass piece though. I wouldn't be brave enough to enter of my stuff into any show, juried or otherwise.
Love the shadows under the tree. Great capture of a lovely place.
beautiful painting, the shadow is perfect, with the yellow tone in front.
I can picture riding my bike, resting under that tree. Toasty and warm. Lovely!
Oh Ann, I so love your palette here. The entire piece vibrates with the energy of summer. I especially love the tree's shadow.
wonderful landscapes in your blog...green and pleasant...!!
I think this is my favorite! Wonderful!
