The color of spring. Fresh strawberries with lemon cake.
Last week our forsythia started to bud. I sat beside the driveway and did this quick sketch while Kiddo played basketball. We have been experiencing just gorgeous, spring days. The memory of our harsh winter still a little too fresh, we are drawn outdoors as often and for as long as we possibly can. This week the forsythia is a riot of yellow blossoms. Another good reason to head outside.Don't forget to comment on the previous post before midnight tonight for a chance to win a set of four Print of the Month greeting cards!

The lovely yellow Forsythia bushes are blooming here also. (I'm a little south of you.) We've been outdoors as much as possible too. Wonderful sketches as always! I can taste that wonderful lemon cake.
Ooooooh... the cake looks delicious! Mr Iceman was just bragging about how delicious those strawberries he bought the other day ^^ Beautiful drawings as always and Tuesday is still the best day ever!
Ummm, the cake and strawberries look yummy. Well done!
You may have named a bush I see growing out here and hadn't a clue as to what it was. I thought maybe it was ...drawing a blank, gosh darn it...a bush that grew (Scotchbroom!) in WA and was a dirty thing for setting off my allergies! LOL I always love your sketchbook entries, Ann. I wish I thought like so many of you wonderful artists do. I think too hard on what to put in mine and give up easily if it is too hard to capture! Yet all of you artists have such beautiful sketchbook pages!!
yummm - Lemon cake and strawberries - my mouth is watering! Wonderful sketches, as always, Ann! nancy
Lovely watercolors. The colors are so soothing, bright, and springlike. Wonderful.
Lovely watercolors! Your posts make me hungry though ;-)
Sounds like a lovely day, perfect for sitting outside and sketching. Love the looseness of your sketches as well.
