What I am proposing, in keeping with my thoughts for this year to stay focused on the present, mindful and in the moment, is to continue with photos on Friday, an image from the week, with no words or a few words, that acknowledges the "right now". If you would like to join me in this mindful weekly exercise, put a link in the comments for this post to share your "right now" image.

I like your thoughts on this Ann. I was thinking of doing some sort of photography project this year and I think I will join you. I took a picture of the sunset over the lake this afternoon: http://capappasart.com/2012/01/06/right-now/.
Wonderful Carolyn! That is a stunning photo! Thanks for sharing it :-)
I think your life sounds wonderful, Ann. I so miss having my daughters at home, helping with homework, just being a mom. I love when you share your moment of the week and wish I could do that too. Unfortunately, most of my week happens at work. The rest of the time I'm a vegetable.
That's exactly why I want to try and stay mindful of the present moment Sherry! It all goes by so fast! I am glad you like these photo posts :-)
Your comments on adding photography to your blog struck a chord with me. I take lots of photos too - and sometimes I post them on my blog, but I have felt a little guilty, since I know most of my readers are looking for art posts. But I love viewing the world through a camera, and I love other people's photos too. I look forward to more from you.
Sherry, I know exactly what you mean and have wondered myself if readers are interested or not in seeing photos on an art blog. Yet, I also always enjoy those glimpses into other artists' worlds through the photos they choose to share. I have found that the task of having a weekly photo to post has greatly increased my stash of photos through the reminder to pay more attention to my surroundings and capturing them with my camera. It's your blog, you should make it your own!
