Sketchbook Tuesday - orange
So, I was shopping with Kiddo at the mall and we stopped in at her favorite doo-dads store because she wanted to spend some of her gift money on a hat she had spotted there. As we were leaving, there was a display of handbags near the entrance and I swear I heard this one call my name. Even though I have never owned an orange bag in my life. I have brown, black, blue, and in some of my wilder moments have purchased khaki colored bags, but never orange. But I do like the style with a cross body strap and plenty of pockets. And now, whenever I look at this orange bag, it makes me happy.

*smile* and you're not the only one smiling—wow! What a gorgeous pop of color! This will be perfect for those beach trips you take as well.
What a lovely rendering of your new, most awesome bag! I really like the colour orange and I think it is a perfect colour for a handbag. I have had a red handbag for many years and I can't tell you how many women have complimented me on it. Welcome to the audacious bag ladies club! :-)
It's a BEAUT!! I think you will enjoy lots of compliments carrying this sensational bag! Beautifully sketched as well!
HaPpy, HAPPY, HaPpY, HaPpY, hApPy, HAppY purse! (to the tune Happy Talk in South Pacific)..... well you have to be here listening to me sing :)
Very beautiful!
very nice :D love brightly coloured bags :D
Yes that is ORANGE!! Well done - your strokes of color - it feels real.
This looks like my kind of style of bag, though admittedly, I'd have probably passed simply because of the color! LOL Love how you left bits of yellow shining through for highlights.
Hi Ann,
What an awesome bag! You know what they say.... "older and bolder"! (Not that you're getting old or anything lol!)
Orange you glad you got it ! ! !
So bright, so cheerful...you were right to buy it AND sketch it!
It looks wonderful! Orange is such a happy color - and I can totally understand the "call" of the bags... (I could buy a bag everyday, if I had the money, it's worse than shoes ;)!)
