Sketchbook Tuesday - green things
You know, sometimes I leave a lot of white space on my journal pages when I do a sketch. Often times that space gets filled later on with writing or a quote from my reading. And sometimes I just like the feeling of space on the page with the sketch. One never knows. Just in case you were wondering...

I amthe same way about white space on the page...I do like to leave it open sometimes, a lot of times. Your watercolor pears are exquisite Ann.
Thanks for sharing you spots of color it is gloomy out here in the NW too :(
Great Job! Love your pears!!
The pears look nice and juicy and the hyacinth is lovely too. I like the idea of leaving the white space for journaling later. I always have the idea that I need to do it all at once, which is silly because that never happens!
I really like the image of the hyacinth alot! I hope you continue to paint it as it blossoms. That would be such a nice series! Your style is awfully nice and you make wonderful use of your white space:)
Lovely lovely sketch =) After all these years, I think green is still my favorite color. And I and wearing a green sweater right at this moment too ^^
I love your sketchbooks, Ann. They are always just so beautiful! And I love the idea of you jotting down quotes from your reading as you come across them.
My kind of girl... food can always wait :) Sketching first!! These are wonderful. Glad you found some green!
I'm not the only one then that makes the family wait for their dinner while I finish a sketch :)
Beautiful pears!
been really grey here too :/ but no snow, so shouldn't complain lol
very nicely done pears :D love the added reds
Yeah for green things - green is my favourite colour. Lovely sketches, they looks so fresh and spontaneous (love all the colours you used in the hyacinth buds)! Ah, the scent of a hyacinth...I have paperwhite narcissi blooming in my dining room - they smell great too. I have granny smith apples waiting for their photo shoot in my studio. Yup, yeah for green things! :-)
Love the greens, and the pears look ripe and juicy. I like the layout of your pages and with the white left, it makes the colours stand out and the white calms it down (hope that makes sense). I bought a few hyacinths as well, and ended up with purple when I wanted white (too bad we dont shop in the same store, lol)
Lovely paintings and greens, well done!!
