I found this little leaf on our walkway the other day. It reminded my of how the season is beginning to turn to autumn, however subtle the changes. I liked the curl of this leaf, turning inward, with just a touch of green still remaining, a remnant of summer days now nearly gone.

I LOVE this leaf! So delicate and softly colored - I can almost feel the crunchiness around the edges. You've perfectly achieved the effect that colored pencil is perfect for.

I admit to a soft spot for leaves as subject matter as they are a recurrent theme for me. No matter, your leaf is wonderful!

Wonderful drawing. I have been ignoring the few yellow leaves I see on our trees. I put it off to not enough water (desert area) but they are only now turning yellow. I love the cooler days to come but not the bare trees or the cold to follow. Your leaf looks lonely which is how I think of the leaves falling - used up and pushed away. The turned tip came out super on your leaf. I feel like I could just pick it up. Must be a strange morning when I feel sorry for a leaf! But it looks so real.

Ann - this is wonderful! I can just feel the crispness of it! You should try quilting, I do the stress free version, if it's not perfect, too bad! :D Marva

Marva - it would have to be the stress free version for me too!
