Breezy greens

More watercolor play, inspired this time by the greens of summer. My references really are just that, a point of departure for playing with color and shape. I would like to eventually be able to leave the reference even further behind and find only those essential elements that interest me about the scene. In this case it was the impressionistic feel of green on green in the summer landscape that intrigued me.

The warm yellow greens look so good in front of the cool blue greens, very inviting.

Love green and especially the early spring greens (fresh light greens and apple greens), its bright and new and you captured that so well here. Very nice!!!

So beautiful, Ann! I'm trying to decide if it looks more impressionistic or more pointillistic...? Beautiful colors that make me long for spring...We have had a cold snap come through this past week and a bit of snow. Pretty though; we didn't get much snow this winter.

It does feel impressionistic and has a fresh feeling too.

I agree with Jennifer Rose, this piece does glow. Simply shouts summer (shouting in a good way of course). Love the shades of violet and blue.
