Sketchbook Tuesday :: pineappleness

Our grocery had a coupon last week for a free pineapple with purchase. Pineapples are very complex. So I went for the idea, the pineappleness of a pineapple.

Ooh .. I love this one. I think what I like best about it is the looseness of it. Well done! nancy

Lovely colours. Makes one wanting to eat one, just wish I was not allergic to pineapples.. But this is a good feast for the eyes : )

And going for the "idea" of pineappleness" has given you a beautiful painting...more full of life and "correctness". Lovely Ann!

Love the blues in the leaves. Pineapples have that dusty leaved succulent look to them. The greens and yellows in the fruit itself is spot on perfect! Love the new word too!

Thanks everyone! We finally cut into it last evening and boy, was it good! Nothing like fresh fruit, for sure. Mari, sorry to hear you are allergic. I know about food allergies and it's tough. That's why you'll never see me drawing or painting anything with peanuts :-)

love it - it looks and feels very tropical and balmy. And I think the word "pineappleness" should be in the Oxford dictionary ! ;)
