Sketchbook Tuesday :: waiting

These marigolds were waiting to be planted when I decided to sketch them first.  They now live in my window box style planters that grace the porch and deck railings.

Reminds me of the song "Inchworm, inchworm, measuring the marigolds, seems to me that you could see, how beautiful they are."

Dear Ann - love your marigolds - how cheerful. Thanks for sharing.

They're very marigold-like--you caught the textured ruffly-ness just right.

Cheerful, happy little flowers. Marigolds make me smile and you've captured them perfectly. Love the peppery smell of them too.
