Couldn't think of a title, so I am definitely open to suggestions for this one! Some more color play on pastel board only this time with the specific image as a starting point. I wanted to keep the edges softer and the color more subtle. And I was trying to articulate the scene without being so literal.
I have the stages of this piece here, with a detail of my scribbles at the end.
It's simply great Ann! Love the different stages and I really appreciate and admire the amount of patience you put in a drawing. I especially love the reflections on the water and the shadows of the grass... I mean the details are just mind blowing! ^^
So much to see, you have been busy and produced some interesting work. Love the slide show with all your stages of the Reeds, great to see your process and colours.
It's interesting the way you go from undetailed general forms and progress to the details. Your paintings are lovely (as always) and remind me a lot of pastels.

This is wonderful, Ann! Well done...
And I got my delightful ACEO yesterday, thank you! Wish I could get my email to you to go through...
These are wonderful. Beautiful colors and blending.
Sweet!
The plum/burnt carmine colour just stands out wonderfully.

thanks for the close up :) Its really neat to see how the colour mix together to get the final colours :)
less can indeed be more, sometimes simple works best :)
Lovely, I think you should name it whatever emotion it evokes in you, such as serenity or awakening.
